Shanmukha Subramania

32" X 24"

$80 USD

Skanda is the son of Shiva and Parvati, and the brother of Ganesha.  His multi-faced form alludes to Skanda being raised by six divine mothers. He is shown accompanied by his two wives, Devasena and Valli.  He is twelve-armed, nine of which display his armory and three embrace his wives. Skanda’s peacock clutches a cobra in its talons, a metaphor of Skanda’s power to destroy ignorance and evil.

Printed on heavy uncoated 250 gsm Museum-quality archival paper.
